Abstract

One of the biggest challange in front of cultural institutions in Poland is to gain new finance sources to keep development ongoing. One of possibility, which becomes more common currently, is crowdfounding compains. However, this requires proper competences and decisions inside the institutions.

The overriding goal of the paper is to analyze the crowdfunding campaigns organized by public cultural institutions, based on to websites: PolakPotrafi.pl and WspieramKulture.pl. The author of the paper characterize types of initiated projects, assess their effectiveness by close review of crowdfunding models used by these subjects.
