This article examines the archetypal approach to the interpretation of historical-political discourse in non-classical Ukrainian historiography, with particular attention to the conceptual current of the Ukrainian statehood school. It conceptualises the historical archetype as a deep semantic model that becomes visible in historiographical discourse through archetypal representation and subsequently develops into historical metaphor, narrative, and myth. The methodology combines historicalhermeneutic analysis, archetypal-mythological interpretation, elements of historical-political discourse analysis, comparative analysis, and typological classification. On this basis, the article proposes a classification of archetypal representations in the statehood school into personage-based, event-processual, cultural-historical, and chronotopic types. The analysis shows that representatives of this historiographical current interpreted Ukrainian historical experience through recurrent models of political action, collective memory, statehood, destructive social energy, and civilisational belonging. The study argues that historical archetypics can serve as a productive interpretive framework for historiography, political science, and public administration, provided that the transition from archetype to discursive representation is operationalised through identifiable textual markers rather than assumed from thematic similarity alone.
