The text presents the results of a study on Anglicisms used to denote colour names, extracted from the corpus included in Der AnglizismenIndex 2022. Deutsch statt Denglisch (2022) and Duden. Band 5. Das Fremdwörterbuch (2020). The study examined the degree of assimilation of these terms, their word-formation potential, and semantic aspects, particularly in the context of linguistic resources available in the contemporary German lexicon. The aim of the research is to determine the degree of assimilation in the context of the phenomenon of Denglish, the lasting influence of the English language on German. The study found that Anglicisms belonging to this group should not be viewed as a threat to native German expressions for describing colours.
