Today, historical reenactment is increasingly popular, and it is one of the most attractive ways of presenting knowledge about the past. It is widely used to promote regions, increase tourism, and build interest in local history. Historical re-enactment is a cultural and social phenomenon. The aim of this article is to present groups involved in the historical re-enactment of the Napoleonic era in the context of the idea of modern tribalism proposed by Michel Maffesoli, and also to show the cultural values they produce and what participation in a group means to those involved.
