Abstract

The essay is devoted to a specific notion of Christs body aesthetic developed in Middle Ages. Analysis of literary sources and Christs body depictions leads to the conclusion that there was great interest in aesthetic issues. An interest not only focused on suffering and Passion, but rather very subtle and full of tenderness vision of human body.
