Ethical Principles

The journal’s editorial office informs that acts of scientific misconduct, such as ghostwriting and guest authorship, will be exposed and documented. Ghostwriting refers to the omission from the authors of a scientific article of a person who has made a significant contribution to the work. Ghostwriting also includes failing to mention that person in the acknowledgments. Guest authorship, also known as honorary authorship, refers to a situation where a person had little or no involvement in the creation of an article, yet was listed as an author/co-author. To counteract such unfair practices, the journal’s editorial office will require the identification of individual authors’ contributions to the work. This includes providing information on the co-authors’ affiliations, the authorship of the concept, principles, and methodology used to produce the publication.

The latest challenge is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific publications. Any abuses committed in this field will also be exposed and documented by the journal’s editorial staff.
