Abstrakt

In Chinese culture, the idea of “searching for roots” has being created from the beginning of 80’s in 19th century. Along with that, the trend of searching for roots has appeared in the literature. This article will present the genesis of that trend, its main topics and most important authors. That exceptional phenomenon in Chinese literature will be shown from social-historical point of view.
