Foreign direct investment (FDI) is one of the most important determinants of economic development of People’s Repubilic of China. The impact of that investment on the development of the China can be divided in their importance in foreign trade of China and their impact on Chinese economy. Impact of FDI on foreign trade of China is noticeable in many different areas. With the increasing number and value of these investments, China extends its comparative advantages and increases its importance in the international segmentation of production. In addition, transactions conducted by foreign companies located there, among others, contribute to a significant increase of Chinese trade, increasing importance of the region in the international arena and build a highly dynamic specialization. The impact of FDI on Chinese economy include the huge importance for the local labor market. These investments provide to wage growth, job creation and enhancing human resource skills. FDI is also a great source of capital and modern technology. Moreover, the activities of foreign investors in China also contributed to productivity growth, changes in the structure of industrial production and increasing competition that prevails in this market.
