Abstract

This article concerns the impact of privatisation to the functioning of the railway. It describe the way In which transfer of management affects on development of British rail. Does the promises government made before privatisation has been fulfilled. The author explains the rules of the functioning of franchise system in rail industry. The paper focuses also on the problem of attitude of society towards franchised model of management. Consideration were endorsed by statistical data.
