Analysis of the effectiveness of the paid parking zone and the introduction of new solutions on the example of Gdynia

Abstract

Article analyses the efficiency of functioning of the paid parking zone in Gdynia, in the context of the need to make the necessary changes. The estimated revenue for the budget of the municipality after the introduction of the possibility to lodge charges with bank card. Were also identified the main problems its operation and presented solutions that can significantly help users payment of fees and as a result, increase the income derived by the municipality. Also, considered the effects of investment and assessed its effects and impact on the structure of paid parking fees. The summary also proposed additional solutions to improve the necessary functional changes, and discusses their effects on the road and the parking system in the city.
