FinTech on the Polish market

Abstract

In the article were presented theoretical aspects such as features and key areas of FinTech development in the world. In addition, the attention was paid to trends that drive the expansion of Financial Technology in the global economy. The rest of the article was devoted to the analysis of individual FinTech segments. In publication has been described the sphere of financing, asset management, the payment sector but also the scope of FinTech which focuses on different functions. The last chapter covers the re‐ search on the functioning of the Polish FinTech market. Four companies in the field of digital payments which operate in Poland have been analyzed. The author in the article strongly emphasizes the fact that FinTech changes the activity of the financial services industry in many ways thus forcing financial institutions to focus more on the client.
