Work as a factor in the integration of people with disabilities in the light of the latest literature in the conditions of the SARS-COV-2 virus epidemic
Keywords:
intellectual disability, developmental disability, work, integrationAbstract
The epidemic with which the whole world is currently facing, more or less equally, has a negative impact on many aspects of human functioning – including, in particular, the economy, and thus the labor market. In the labor market, a special role has long been played by employees with disabilities, who perform their official tasks not only to earn money, but also to enable broadly understood social integration and independence. The research results cited in the presented article lead to the conclusion that there is an equal deterioration in working conditions caused by the epidemic. However, the same research shows that in the near future, employers with disabilities may experience the consequences of losing their jobs.
