Logistics support system of music festival on the example of Open'er Festival

Abstract

The paper presents basic information about a music festival along with its placement in the category of mass events. The basic principles that must be met for an event to be classified as a festival are also shown. The author then makes a presentation and interpretation of the concept of logistical support system in a general sense. The importance of the said system in the process of realization of a mass music event is also elaborated. In the following part of the article, the author presents the Open’er Festival music festiwal in Gdynia, along with a brief overview of its history. The purpose of the article is also to present the results of a survey conducted on a group of festival participants. The questions and their answers focus on the logistical aspects of the past editions of the Open’er Festival event. The survey was conducted and its results were compiled entirely by the author of the article.
