The aim of the article is the assessment of the impact of Ukrainian refugees on the Polish labor market, specifically on real wages, unemployment rate, and the employment level in Poland. The author presents the theoretical aspects of the labor market in economics, taking into account migration theory and the effects of population flows on the labor market.
Then, the scale of the influx of refugees from Ukraine to Poland is outlined, along with the situation of the labor market before and during the Russian aggression against Ukraine. Using statistical data analysis and correlation analysis, conclusions are drawn regarding the impact of Ukrainian refugees on real wages, their dynamics, unemployment rate, and the employment level.
