Abstract

Design thinking is an example of an innovative project management method. Its application has a positive impact on achieving a competitive advantage for organisations, whilst also enabling strategies to be rapidly adapted to a constantly changing environment. The method focuses on creating value and solutions with users and their needs and desires in mind. Compared to traditional approaches, this method stands out by moving away from extensive documentation in favour of iteration, i.e. the continuous improvement of the products and services offered. An important element of Design Thinking is creative thinking, which has been recognised as an essential skill for the future and one sought after by employers.
