Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine gossip in libraries and information service environments, and draw attention to it is impacts on such organizations. This research provides information on ways of reducing gossip, comments and suggestions from anonymous survey respondents. It also shows that gossip has both positive and negative impacts in libraries.
