Nagrody indywidualne Festiwalu Polskich Filmów Fabularnych w latach 1974–2025 a podział na płeć – raport z badań

Abstrakt

The article examines gender inequality in Polish cinematography through a quantitative analysis of recipients of individual awards at the Polish Film Festival between 1974 and 2025. Focusing on non-gendered categories, it reveals a persistent imbalance, with women awardees concentrated in fields traditionally coded as ‘feminine’ while remaining underrepresented in areas such as directing and cinematography. The study also traces shifts within specific professions, notably film editing. The article provides an empirical framework for further research on gender disparities in Polish film culture.
