Abstrakt

Traditional marketplace’s environment differs from the modem space, within are provided customary trade contacts. In opposite the marketplace is located the supermarket - modem place of trade, which appeared in Poland during the process of political transformation. As a result, a specific motivated anthropological opposition has been created - marketplace man/supermarket man, which were described in well-known dissertation „ Anthropology of everyday life”, written by Roch Sulima. The particular parts of the opposition are reflected in the language used in the marketplace during the everyday conversations. One can favour the opposition between individual language in the marketplace and institutional acts of speaking in a modem supermarket.
