Abstrakt

This short article attempts at pointing political, social and emotional difficulties, which always accompany constructing the State of Israel’s discourse. The author is especially interested in Zionist and post-Zionist narrations. They both allow to indicate ways of creating national identity, national history and national self-knowledge. But Gershom Scholem’s definition of Ahawat Israel is obviously not the best form for adoration of Israel. There are pertinent artistic ways of showing this ambiguity. One of them is giving voice to Palestinians and pro-Palestinians Jews by filmmakers.
