This article addresses the issue of revealing and communicating truth in the media sphere, defined as a complex communication environment shaped by both the content and form of the message. The thesis is that the contemporary media sphere favors the disclosure of truth, but this is conditioned by ethical, cognitive, and cultural factors. The aim of the work is to analyze the determinants of truth communication, the specific nature of its disclosure in the media, and the role of discretion in protecting individual subjectivity in the digital space. Literature on truth from an ontological and cognitive perspective is critically analyzed. The results indicate that truth is a fundamental criterion for the quality of media communication, bringing order to information chaos and determining the transparency and accountability of the message. At the same time, the personalistic dimension of communication is emphasized, in which communicating truth involves revealing the sender. The necessity of maintaining a balance between disclosure and protection of information is also emphasized, justifying the existence of situations in which unauthorized disclosure of truth can violate a person’s well-being. The conclusions emphasize the importance of ethical standards of communication in the context of contemporary threats such as disinformation and media manipulation. Truth appears to be a key factor in building cognitive order and a communication culture based on respect and responsibility.
