Fenotyp żeński w zespole nadpobudliwości psychoruchowej z deficytem uwagi (ADHD) oraz jego implikacje dla diagnostyki

Abstrakt

Niniejszy artykuł zaprezentuje dotychczasowe wnioski i obserwacje wynikające z przeprowadzonych badań nad kobiecym fenotypem ADHD, które wnoszą bezcenną perspektywę do dyskursu nad codziennymi wyzwaniami, z jakimi mierzą się kobiety z tym zaburzeniem. Analizie poddane zostaną trudności i wyzwania diagnostyczne z perspektywy klinicznej, związane z odmienną prezentacją objawów u kobiet, jak również konsekwencje, jakie niesie za sobą późno otrzymana diagnoza, szczególnie w kontekście dobrostanu i zdrowia psychicznego. Artykuł ponadto przybliży perspektywę neurobiologiczną zaburzenia. Celem niniejszej publikacji jest nie tylko zwiększenie świadomości, lecz także próba zwrócenia uwagi na potrzebę modyfikacji metod diagnostycznych w odniesieniu do zespołu nadpobudliwości psychoruchowej z deficytem uwagi u kobiet, co może przyczynić się do poprawy ich jakości życia oraz zapewnienia adekwatnego wsparcia i opieki.
