Antropologia lokomocji i transportu – między etno- a technografią
Słowa kluczowe:
transport, locomotion, mobility studies, technography, ethnography, imagineeringAbstrakt
The article provides a theoretical grounding for the anthropology of locomotion (understood here as the linguistically justified use of the Polish term ‘lokomocja’, denoting human movement facilitated by mechanical or motorized means of transport) and transport within the framework of the mobility turn. The author briefly recapitulates key concepts and methodologies characteristic of this paradigm, clarifying its significance and scope. She also emphasizes the purpose of introducing the categories of ‘locomotion’ and ‘transport’ as important concepts in mobility analysis, justifying their use from an anthropological perspective. The article also concisely surveys research fields concerned with mobility and outlines a set of useful analytical contexts, including the anthropology of technology, technography, and imagineering. These perspectives enable a deeper exploration of the anthropological dimensions of the technological aspects of movement, revealing the complexity and multidimensionality of transport processes along with their cultural, social, and material conditions.
