W poszukiwaniu wzorców i wyznaczników jakości życia osób z niepełnoprawnością intelektualną – Przegląd ujęć teoretycznych i wybranych badań empirycznych

Abstrakt

W artykule zaprezentowane zostały teoretyczne ramy współczesnej koncepcji jakości życia osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Wielowymiarowość pojęcia jakość życia powoduje, że nie opracowano dotąd jednolitej, powszechnie akceptowanej, definicji, jednak wskazuje się na wspólne teoretyczne punkty odniesienia, którymi są: koncepcja dobrostanu, teoria potrzeb i koncepcja zadań rozwojowych. Badania nad jakością życia osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną doprowadziły do zidentyfikowania ośmiu kluczowych, wrażliwych kulturowo domen jakości życia, które wpisują się w trzy nadrzędne obszary jakości życia: niezależność, udział w życiu społecznym i dobrostan. Dla każdej domeny wyłonione zostały jej subiektywne wskaźniki. Model ten powinien być wykorzystywany w projektowaniu działań na rzecz poprawy jakości życia osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną na poziomie polityk publicznych oraz praktyk pomocowych i wspierających.
