The article discusses the possibilities of using the design thinking method in the analysis of the elderly expectations towards telemedicine technologies and devices using Internet connections and the possibility of placing data „in the cloud”. The research was based on the rules of the emancipatory-critical paradigm and the triangulation method. The non-reactive research (the unobtrusive measures method) was applied in the first stage. It was conducted on the situation of seniors in Poland. At the second stage, research was carried out using a survey. The target of the survey were the elderly and their caregivers. In the third stage, in-depth interviews were conducted with seniors about their emotions, needs and fears/concerns. The research also pointed out the possibilities of applying medical technology solutions in the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark), which may provide inspiration at the stage of prototyping new Polish solutions and be tested in terms of their adequacy to the needs of Polish seniors and their families and potential possibilities of supporting them in disease and health dysfunctions.
