This journal is created for readers interested in the history of art and architecture and is thematically focused on the artistic issues of the Baltic Sea Region.

Ethical Guidelines

Reliability is one of its qualitative foundations of science. Paper authors shall present the results of their work in a transparent, reliable, and truthful manner. Testimony to the author's high ethical values and the supreme editorial standards can be found in the transparency of information on the individuals and organizations which have substantially contributed to the paper (in the factual, in kind, finantial levels, etc.). This testifying not only to best practices but also the social responsibility. 

Porta Aurea thus has a zero-tolerance policy for ghost-writing (the practice of not mentioning the author or co-authors name in the heading or acknowledgements) and guest authorship (the practice of including a person as an author when the person did not participate or minimally contributed to the peper ). In such instances shall be exposed, and relevant institutions (including but not limited to employers, scientific societies and professional associations) shall be notified detection of cases of ghost-writing or guest authorship. Authors are required to submit a declaration confirming their participation in the creative process where they declare their affiliation, and inform on the possible contribution of other authors. The reviewing Guidelines apply to all the opapers to be published in Porta Aurea journal.
