Reviewing procedure

BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR REVIEWING ARTICLES FOR PORTA AUREA

  1. The institute will appoint two external independent reviewers to evaluate each article.
  2.  In the case of articles written in a foreign language, at least one of the reviewers is affiliated with a foreign institution from a country other than the author's place of origin.
  3.  The journal uses a double-blind review process.
  4. The reviewer must declare that no conflict of interest exists. These include but are not limited to personal relationships, professional subordination, scientific cooperation in recent years, etc.
  5. The review for the article is concluded with an unequivocal decision on whether the article is qualified or rejected for publication. This determination is made in writing and is made available to the author.
  6. The article is qualified for publication if it meets the formal conditions (see the editorial guidelines), it is accepted by the Editorial Board (based on the opinion of at least one member of the Board), it receives two positive reviews from independent reviewers, and is approved by the Editorial College. The article may be referred for improvement or addition.
  7. The names of the reviewers of individual articles are classified.
