Illustrations should be submitted in digital form as separate files (.jpg format preferred). Please indicate the exact position where each illustration should appear in the text.
Please provide a detailed description of each illustration submitted, crediting the artist and source, as well as a declaration stating whether or not you have copyright ownership of the illustrative material. If you do not have copyright ownership of the material, the copyright owner should be indicated. If copyright has expired, this information should be included in your declaration.
4) Please give the full forename and surname of any individuals referred to in your text. For subsequent references to the same individual please use only the forename initial and surname.

Please use footnotes not endnotes.
Footnotes should be continuously numbered.
Monographs should be cited as follows: author’s forename initial, surname, full title of book (in italics), place and year of publication, page numbers.
E.g. S. Hain, Wincenty Kot. Prymas Polski, Poznań 1948, p. 12-16.
For further citations of a sole work by a given author please use the abbreviation: opus citatum; for more than one work by a given author a concise and logical incipit should be used, not followed by an ellipsis. When citing a work referred to in the preceding footnote, please use: Ibidem. When the work of a given author is followed by a reference to another work of the same author, instead of repeating the author’s name please use: idem, eadem, iidem/eidem, as appropriate.
Articles published in journals should be cited as follows:
Author’s forename initial, surname, full title of article, title of journal in quotation marks, volume number of journal (Roman or Arabic numerals), year of publication, page numbers.
When citing an article in an edited collection, place a comma after the title of the article followed by [in:] and then the title of the book.
When first mentioned, titles of frequently cited sources, journals and edited collections, as well as names of institutions (e.g. archives and libraries) should be given in full, indicating in parentheses the abbreviated form which will be used for subsequent references, e.g. ‘Archiwum Państwowe w Gdańsku (hereafter APG)’.
Citations of archival sources should include: the official name of the archive in its original language and alphabet, the place name of where the archive is located, the collection number, catalogue number, and page or folio numbers. When using abbreviated names of archives or collections, only those which are widely known or officially recognised by the relevant institution should be used.
When citing an internet resource please state: the author’s forename and surname (the latter in small capital letters), the title of the work (in italics), the full URL address, and the date when accessed.
