O sejmowym posiedzeniu, którego nie było – uwagi na marginesie obrad w Sali Kolumnowej w dniu 16 grudnia 2016 r.
Abstrakt
When we analyze the functioning of democratic states, we actually take for granted the necessity of having a parliament – a multi-person body representing a collective subject of sovereignty. But the existence of the parliament is more than just gathering of people who are considered to be the representatives of society. Parliament is, after all, an agora – a „place to talk”, a forum for unfettered preaching of views occurring in society, but parliament is above all a place of making the most important legally binding decisions which are universally binding. That is why it is so important that its functioning is consistent with constitutional regulations and other legal norms. Therefore, the events that took place in the Polish Sejm on 16 December 2016 are worth analyzing and drawing necessary conclusions in order not to be repeated in the future.
