Abstrakt

The article focuses on one of the most marginalized groups – indigenous peoples and their rights to lands. These rights are collective and are a prerequisite for their survival and development. At the beginning, the Author presents the definition of indigenous peoples and their legal status. Against this background, she focuses on the right of indigenous peoples to their land and presents selected examples of the implementation and the violation of this right. Finally, she indicates why the right to land is so important for indigenous peoples.
