Abstrakt

We live in a time that brought about revolutions in the sphere of international relations. It is doubtful whether the challenges that are so characteristic for the modern, globalized world can be confronted with rules and structures from post-war times. There is no doubt that in recent years we have been observing phenomena allowing us to reflect on the possible axiological and normative process of transforming the paradigm of international law.

The concept of the Responsibility to Protect arose from the problem of the “right to intervene”, which was created in the 1990s in response to events in rwanda and Bosnia. Analyzing the literature in the field of broadly understood international relations, it can safely be claimed that the r2P is one of the most frequently used terms in the language of contemporary international politics. The best examples of the current debate surrounding the concept of the Responsibility to Protect are recent numerous publications on the subject.
