The aim of this article is to present music therapy as an exemplary support method that can be used with children struggling with specific learning disabilities (SLD). It is becoming increasingly popular today. This topic is particularly important because it involves young people. The frequent occurrence of specific learning disabilities (SLD) in children contributes to numerous negative consequences that disrupt their harmonious development and functioning. This can ultimately lead to problems in the young person's mental, social, or emotional health. The paper highlights the concept of specific learning disabilities. It then presents examples of support for children with SLD. The next aspect is a discussion of music therapy methods. Given the specific nature of the problem, potential preventive measures are also identified. During the analysis, various meta-analyses of research in this area were referenced. Particular attention was paid to examples of intervention programs using music. The presented examples of support and assistance for children with SLD demonstrated significant improvements in their functioning.
