The article analyzes teachers’ sense of efficacy as a category that transcends the opposition between individualism and collectivism. Drawing on Albert Bandura’s social learning theory, it demonstrates interconnections between the individual and collective dimensions of efficacy beliefs, situating the analysis within the context of selected classical and contemporary approaches to the individualism–collectivism dimension. The article argues that teachers’ sense of efficacy is neither an individual trait nor an exclusively collective phenomenon, but rather a dynamic construct emerging through social interactions. It also highlights the importance of communities of practice, collaboration networks, and the organizational climate of schools in strengthening teachers’ efficacy beliefs.
