Abstrakt

The article presents some spelling difficulties that have schoolbooks editors. A person editing a schoolbook of Polish (Polish language and literature as a primary school subject) may have problems with determining how to write a word. The reasons for this are unclear rules of the Polish orthography and the non-inclusion of all issues in dictionaries and the rules of spelling. Moreover, editors may have practical problems with the orthography, associated with the semantics or teaching. The article contains many examples of such matters.
