Dialog Jana Pawła II z Biblią
Abstrakt
John Paul II during his pilgrimages to Poland referred to the Bible in all kinds of utterances: homilies, speeches, and prayer reflections.
The Bible is treated by Christians as a source of theology - locus theologicus. Theologians find in it the source of inspirations for their reflections. John Paul II uses not only the content of the Bible but also its literary form. He often makes use of the biblical motives and refers to the biblical style by using parallelisms, contrasts, repetitions and set of symbols, metaphors and other stylistic means. The orator uses stylistic means that are characteristic for the Old and the New Testament and in this way realizes three aims of an antic rhetoric: docere, delectare, movere.
