Abstract
This paper addresses three questions relating to the translation process: 1. the etymological and substantive/semantic specificities of traduktion and translation; 2. the codematic and process‑linked qualities of the bilingual speech‑mediator; 3. the intercultural aspects of bilingual communication deriving from the source and target languages.
