Abstract

The text presents the "Letters for Palestinian Childhoods" initiative organized by the Reimagining Childhood Studies collective to voice childhood researchers’ and activists’ call for a ceasefire in Gaza and to express solidarity with Palestinian children affected by war. The author examines the international academic community's response to the escalation of conflict between Israel and Palestine, highlighting the importance of scholars' engagement in defending children's rights and opposing their dehumanization. The letters published by the collective serve as a testament to solidarity with these children and their families and critique global narratives that justify violence against Palestinians. This initiative aligns with critical childhood studies, emphasizing the need for political engagement and resistance against unjust social.
