This article presents the story of my friendship with Professor Bohdan Dziemidok. I attempt to draw attention to the Professor’s most characteristic features: his ability to get through to the audience listening to him, his kindness and understanding towards people, keeping a distance from himself, his colourful sense of humour and practising his own original art of living. In addition, I draw attention to two of the Professor’s books: O komizmie (The Comical) and Filozofia i sztuka życia (Philosophy and the Art of Living) justifying the choice made. All of this is completed by the works of the Department of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Culture, which were devoted to our teacher, master and friend: Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art. Traditions, Intersections, Perspectives (2009) and Art and Philosophy No. 55 (2019).
