Reviewing procedure

Review process

All scientific texts submitted to "Studia Scandinavica" are reviewed according to
the following procedure:

  1. The Editorial Board of "Studia Scandinavica" pre-selects submitted scientific articles.
  2. If positively evaluated, all scientific texts submitted to the journal will be reviewed by at least two external reviewers who are independent of the authors, i.e. not affiliated with the same institution.
  3. The names of reviewers are not disclosed to the authors of submitted texts, whether or not they have been accepted for publication. Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors (double-blind review process).
  4. The Editorial Board members make every effort to ensure that reviewers are not personally or professionally related to, or engaged in current academic collaboration with, the author of the text under review.
  5. The list of reviewers is revealed once a year, but it does not contain any information on the assignment of a specific reviewer to a particular text.
  6. In the event of unanimous acceptance or rejection of a submitted text, the review will not be made available to the author.
  7. If the text contains errors, the Editorial Board will provide the author with the reviewers’ detailed comments, including their corrections, without disclosing the names of the reviewers.
  8. The author of the submitted text is requested to send its version revised in light of the reviewer’s comments.
