Women’s party electorates in Gdańsk versus political divisions
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyse and describe the views declared by the women electorates of the main political parties in Gdańsk. The empirical material comes from the quantitative survey the author held in Gdańsk in 2016. The survey results reveal the lines of political divisions among women today. The article formulates answers to the following questions: whether and to what extent political orientations and electoral preferences of women determine their views on the idea of democracy and authoritarianism in politics, and diversify their views on social and economic issues, world views, and the place and role of Poland in the European Union.
