Notes on the Pedagogical Role of Non-Human Actors

Abstract

The aim of the text is to highlight the growing role of autonomous computer soft­ware in the decision-making and cognitive processes, especially in the field of education. This paper discusses the subject of the relationship of education, virtual reality and the contact with the advanced computer programs, which are of even greater importance in determining the goals of human activity. The author argues that advanced and complex software has become an actor itself in educational relationships – as important as any hu­man being.

Modernisation of the journal's operations and translation into the English language of articles published in Ars Educandi in 2012-2017 were financed with funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as a part of the task Science Promotion Activity (pl. DUN).
