This article focuses on the role of moral strength as a key component of the psychological resilience of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) in the school environment. The aim of this paper is to offer theoretical reflection and an analysis of the literature on the links between moral development and resilience, as well as to identify practical strategies for supporting students with SEN.
The paper discusses the concepts of resilience, psychological and moral strength, taking into account their components and interrelationships. It also presents examples of educational strategies—storytelling, discussions of moral dilemmas, and reflective group work—that can support students’ moral and psychological development. The importance of the teacher as a moral guide and creator of a supportive educational environment is emphasized.
The paper concludes with a set of practical recommendations and directions for further research on integrating moral education and resilience building in inclusive education.
