Agent absorbing constructions in German and Polish

Abstract

In the article there have been presented ‘absorbing agent’ constructions which are alternative forms of the passive voice; they are so called recessive constructions. On the basis of the Polish and German languages some types of these constructions have been shown and their specificity has been pointed out.
