Abstract

The text is a report from a series of ten lectures on the creators of the Russia’s Religious Revival which took place in the autumn of 2019 at the Gdańsk Library of the Pol- ish Academy of Sciences. The lecture series was organized by the Pomeranian Philosophical and Theological Society within the framework of the Gdańsk Philosophical Lectures project. The recipients of the discussed thematic block became acquainted with the tradition of the Russian religious renaissance at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, known as the Silver Age of Russian culture. The discussions concerned the development of the religious philosophy combining the existential, cultural and historical dimensions of human existence. The speakers presented the profiles and scientific achievements of both: the main founders of this intellectual formation (Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Vladimir Solovyov) and their successors (Nikolai Berdyaev, Sergei Bulgakov, Nikolai Fiodorov, Yevgeny Trubetskoy, Pavel Florensky, Lev Karsavin, Lev Shestov, Fyodor Stepun, Nikolai Lossky, Ivan Ilyin, Semyon Frank, Dmitry Merezhkovsky, Georges Florovsky, Georgy Fedotov, Vasily Rozanov, Vyacheslav Ivanov and others).
