General information for Reviewers

  1. The "Studia Rossica Gedanensia" journal operates a double-blind review process. The names of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors, and the reviewers receive anonymized texts for evaluation. Therefore:

a/ authors should avoid wording that could disclose their identity;

b/ reviewers are not allowed to inform anyone about the fact of reviewing a given article, or about its content or the conclusion of the review (review confidentiality);

c/ editors shall not disclose reviewers’ identities, the content of assessments or conclusions.

  1. Independent reviewers are appointed to evaluate the submitted papers. The reviewers cannot be employed at the same institution as the author, nor at the institution to which the "Studia Rossica Gedanensia" journal is affiliated, i.e., the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk.
  2. The expected review time is 30 days, unless the editors set another deadline. The deadline set for the review should not be exceeded. If a reviewer does not meet the deadline, the editors may resign from their review and establish cooperation with another reviewer.
  3. The Editorial Board makes every effort to ensure that there is no conflict of interest between the appointed reviewers and the authors, i.e., direct personal relations (close kinship, legal relationships, personal conflict or conflict of interest), relations of professional subordination, direct scientific cooperation at present or in the recent past.
