Schulz jest wszędzie
Abstrakt
Schulz’s graphic art and painting have long ago become one with his fiction and essays. The evidence of this is not only his influence on literature, but also on the visual arts, proved by many artists referred to as the “Schulzoids”. The present issue of Schulz/Forum includes for the most part recent analyses of Schulz’s visual works. Their authors analyze the works Nikita (Mykyta) Kadan, masochistic elements in the works of Zdzisław Beksinski, ambiguous interpretations of Schulz made by the surrealist artist Leonor Fini, and unique fascinations of Piotr Łucjan. Besides, we took into consideration the reception of Schulz in theater and cinema, presented an inventory of Schulzian anglopohone artists, approached possible connections between Schulz and the theater of Jerzy Grotowski, reprinted a crucial essay by Branislava Stoyanovic, and reviewed the Quay brothers’ film Sanatorium under the Sign of the Hourglass.
