Relations between Poland and Russia. The title as an element of the reconstruction of the linguistic and civilizational worldview (bibliography of works from 2011–2023)

Abstract

The aim of the article is a linguistic and cultural reconstruction of the worldview of Russia in its relations with Poland based on the titles of geneologically diverse books. They were exceprted with the following key phrases: “Polska i Rosja [Poland and Russia]” and “relacje polsko-rosyjskie [Polish-Russian relations]”. The title is treated as a concrete manifestation of language; it is an utterance in a language. In the analysis process, the method of concretizing the reception and construction of messages was used.

This study consists of two parts. In the first part, an attempt was made to reconstruct the worldview of Russia, while the second part includes Wykaz bibliograficzny prac za lata 2011–2023 [A bibliographic list of works from 2011–2023], which has become the factual basis for the linguistic analysis of utterances formalized as titles of works. A total of 511 entries were collected (including cumulative editions).

A disastrous image of Russia has been reconstructed – demonic, destructive and anti-worldly. The analyzed titles reflect the image of an anti-world.
