Abstract

The article discusses the peculiarities of the poetics in the novel Abode by the contemporary Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin. The author shows and analyzes the basic principles of the structural and semantic organization of the work (historicism and pseudo-historical image, typical, archetypal, intertextual, metatextual, duality of characters and topoi, basic literary motifs, stylistic features, etc.). Also, several parallels between the novel space and the cultural heritage are noted. Attention is paid to the connections with the creative system of F. M. Dostoevsky, who is considered the founder of camp prose. There are intersections with the biblical text, which serves as one of the foundations of understanding Prilepin’s literary work. The article may become a theoretical basis for further study of the novel Abode.
